Put on by Jeff Mach, this is his last non-Wicked Faire event for some time. Proceeds will be going to SPARC, Summer Program for Academic Reach and Creativity. It is a nonprofit summer program for gifted adolescents, founded by people closely involved with WickedEvents. It is On June 28th and tickets are $20 in advance, $30 at the door - you can't beat this price for the performers who will be there.

The premise: "The Totally Normal Event takes place in a universe much like our own, only one in which most fantasy, mythology, and science fiction is essentially true. The idea is that, under the guise of being some sort of convention for normal humans who dress up, we're actually those creatures of myth, disguised. Not disguised very well, mind you, but still.

Within the event itself is an enormous world of entertainments, performances, workshops, pleasures, panels, parties, and entertainments.

And we're working on a Secret Project to extend the event outside the confines of time and place..."

Performers include The Dresden Dolls, Sxip and the Luminescent Orchestrii, Freezepop, Barry Louis Polisar, Voltaire, Isaac Bonewits, The White Elephant Burlesque Society (which is worth going just to see them), David W. Jacobsen, Psyche Corporation, Lilith Lore, Captain Velocity, Mary Cyn, Daniel the Jester, The Mighty Mike Saga, Aaron Glotfelter (the Erotic Hypnotist) and Princess Sunshine. This is in addition to all the parties being held by the Tribes (of which there are four: The Makers [mad scientists], The Takers [evil overlords], The Hedonists [do I need to explain that one?], and The Talesenders [Harnessing the power of story] and other smaller happenings including a The Silent Auction, Rock Band Ball, Human Bingo, Screening of Straight On Till Morning, and many, many more.

For those with extra cash, there (as always at events) will be loads of vendors! They include: Speampunk Weaponary, Face/Body painting, Ruff Doggie Styles, Sculptoons, BondcoDSM, Oxelot Cyberlox, Nicholas Leather, Secret Shop, Christina Yoder, Queen of the Cat People, Ishta Arts, The Pointy Eared Artisan, For Your Nymphomation, Radiance Bound, Horror Show Jack, DragonWeave Jewelry, The Drum and Whistle, Nightshade Leather, The Five Wits, Griffons Claw Armoury, Brute Force Leather, Private Island Toys, Crystals, Grendel's Den, David Sklar, and Dragonflame Archery.

And don’t forget the after-parties, they rock!

Also, there will be some pre-event happenings on Friday night as the staff and many, many minions will be there early to set up and there are parties in the works.
Special Guest:

PSYMMETRIX (PharPsyde Records - UK)
Psymmetrix are 27 year old Alastair Crowther and 30 year old Richie (Asimilon) Elmes, both Yellow Star Geminis from the South East of England, and they have been tearing apart the London squat and party scene and after headlining the Liquid stage at the Glade festival last year these two have developed quite a following.

They have been writing music together now for one and a half years, after initially deciding to formulate a back-2-back set in December 2004, their conflicting styles brought about the synthesis of a new collaboration, that month they furiously created their first 7 tracks which met with great success at their début in the Liquid Connective Trance Room December 31st 2004 and it’s been onwards-and-upwards ever since.

They bring 18 years of a love of trance music and dancefloor mayhem to their live sets, which are getting rave reviews wherever they are given the opportunity to unleash their unique brand of full-power psychedelic having-it dancefloor pounders!!!

I have started a new tribe at http://tribes.tribe.net/njundunitemetal-industrial-rap

This group is based on building an actual business network across the different hard and extreme scenes of metal/industrial/rap. I'm talking about everybody putting their heads and resources together to make serious stuff happen. Let's starting getting the same respect and power that the scenes in the big cities get and make some music and art explode out of jersey. People complain about the management sucking at a lot of venues, well maybe it is time we start our own union of musicians to push our rights and our dreams.
One reason musicians are not taken seriously and abused so much is because there is such a lack of solidarity and division of labor. Stop doing everything yourself and admit that you could use some help. We need people that don't want to be on stage just as much as we need awesome performers, real talent and real heart.

NJ Underground Unite. Let's become a force to be reckoned with
Hello, I am the leader of the group Red and Black. We are presently a drummer, one guitar, one guitar/vox and possibly soon fem vox. I am looking for a bass player to finish off the lineup and someone to replace me most of the time on guitar so I can focus on vox. We would also like a keyboard/sample player though we don't have much written for them yet. Everyone in the band is very open minded and if we need to scrap old songs to make way for new, so be it.

If you want to jam with us to see what we are about let me know and I will arrange a time with the other members. Don't worry about having pro gear, though if you do that is a plus. We can even supply and extra guitar setup, including guitar, and a good setup for keys to plug into (power amp and bass cab, sounds pretty sweet) rather than running you just into the pa. I have no problems with being primarily a guitar player if you sing better than me, whatever works best for the band and everyone involved.

Just one last thing, if you use drugs, unless you are serious trying to get and want to be clean forever, don't bother trying out. I won't let your problem become mine, and I hope that you become clean for yourself. I am tired of musicians and artists thinking they need the drugs, that's crap and we all know it.

While my company will fly me home every weekend if I want, my folks are in Edison and siblings are in the area as well so I'm sure I've got some Jersey time ahead of me. So hello, and what's going on out there?
